One laze afternoon at home my cool brother Johan and I had some fun drawing Sponge Bob and Patrick on a pair of deflated balloons. After re-inflating the balloons I thought it would be a good idea to pose with Sponge Bob and Patrick. That was fun.

Fun Time @ Timberland Club’s Swimming Pool

SEPTEMBER 18. Exactly one month ago today was a really special day, for me at least. My dad celebrated birthday just the day before. And on this day we went to so many fun places.

Earlier in the day we had lunch at UP Technopark. We then proceeded to La Mesa Ecopark where I had my 2nd and 3rd Zip Line experience, after which we made a quick photo-tour of the park.

There was more in store for us that day. From La Mesa Ecopark we proceeded to Timberland Spa and Nature Club. It’s been a while since the last time we went there and Johan and I were so excited to go swimming there again.

And that’s what we immediately did as soon as we got there! Johan and I were joined by Ate Mhaio, Ate Ailene, and Ate Jane. And what do you know? Ate Ailene and Ate Jane were wearing proper and sexy bathing suits for the very first time! Woot woot!

Mom and dad later joined us in the big pool. Dad started taking underwater photos of us using our Olympus waterproof camera. We took turns making wacky underwater poses. Our underwater photos are stupendous!

Mirage

I’ve been posting my photos that I touched up using Draw for iPad. What I like even better with my mom’s iPad is the Photo Booth app.

My cool brother Johan and I have always loved Photo Booth from the day we’ve discovered it on my dad’s MacBook. We would play with it every chance we get, experimenting with the many photo effects, and taking lots and lots of funny photos of ourselves.

We were delighted to no end when we learned that the Photo Booth is also now on the iPad. Just on the iPad2, of course, since the old iPad has no built-in camera. Photo Booth is of no use without a camera. I think that is quite obvious from the name of the application itself, don’t you think so, too?

Anyway… here’s one of the Photo Booth special effects that I learned about just recently. It’s so cool!

Checking Out La Mesa Ecopark

Remember my blog a few days ago about my 2nd and 3rd Zip Line adventure? That was in La Mesa Ecopark. We went there for a quick visit on September 18, a day after my dad’s birthday.

After doing the zip line we went to check out the rest of the park. We didn’t stay long in any one place. We basically just toured the place very quickly, taking photos every here and there. Here are our photos (with me, of course), during that quick tour.

“Ice Cream Girl”

I think it is obvious that I was bored to death when I did these funny self-portraits, hehehe.

My dad is again complaining about my “abstract” penmanship. Excuse me, Dad! It is not that easy to scribble letters using Draw for iPad, you know! I dare you to try it yourself and let’s see who has the better penmanship. Call?

My 2nd and 3rd Zip Line

WOOHOO! It wasn’t even over a month since my very first Zip Line experience and I was zipping again! And it was not just once but twice! I’m starting to get addicted to the Zip Line.

Dad said there is an almost 1-km long Zipline in Cagayan De Oro, where you actually glide in a “Superman” instead of the usual sitting position. I think that’s the one I saw on a local movie shown on TV recently. I look forward to trying that.

Frolicking @ UP Technopark

The first time I’ve been to the the UP Technopark it was evening so it was dark. But it was also very beautiful because of the colorful lights.

On September 18 I got to visit UP Technopark again, this time in broad daylight. It looked different but equally beautiful. I was, of course, with Mom, Dad, and Johan as well as Ate Mhaio (my cousin), Ate Ailene, and Ate Jane. We had fun taking lots of photos in the park, right by the fountain.

We had lunch at a place called Seafood Island. Whoa! They served our food in a single huge rectangular plate. Mom and dad ate directly from the huge plate while me, Johan, Ate Mhaio, and the ates ate on regular plates. But the ates ate with their bare hands! That’s so cool!

By the way, I loved the barbeque!

I look really funny with this “messed up” photo, don’t you think?

I took my photo using the camera on my mom’s iPad. For the “painting” effect I used Draw for iPad as usual.

Now you are supposed to stand straight, put your right hand on your chest right where your heart is supposed to be located, and sing the Philippine National Anthem… hihihi.

My e-ScrapBook from our Singapore Family Holiday

We always bring home a lot of odds and ends whenever we return from a family trip abroad. Mom wouldn’t let me keep them, however, because she says they’ll just end up as “trash” in my already crowded room.

Dad came up with a cool solution. He suggested that I post them here in my blog as part of my e-ScrapBook.

Special thanks to my pretty cousin, Ate Mhaio, for doing the scanning, and to my ever-cool Dad for doing the cropping.

All that’s left for me to do now is the posting.

Having fun with mom’s iPad

I love my mom’s iPad2. Unlike my dad’s older iPad, mom’s iPad2 has a camera!

Using the iPad’s built-in, front-facing camera together with a free and simple drawing iPad app called Draw Free, I took some photos of myself and doodled some colorful labels.

These are just from my practice session. Wait to see a lot more!
